Drilling Program Starts

September 30, 2013

Bitterroot Resources Ltd.'s drilling contractor has commenced a 2,500-metre core drilling program to test several nickel/copper/platinum/palladium (Ni-Cu-PGM) targets located on the Company's 100 percent-owned mineral rights in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Drilling will test geological and geophysical targets developed during ground based geophysical surveys which were conducted in the past year. The targets display coincident gravity, magnetic and electromagnetic responses in geological environments favourable for the accumulation of conduit-hosted magmatic Ni-Cu-PGM deposits.

The Lake Superior region's Mid-Continent Rift hosts several notable high-value conduit-hosted Ni-Cu-PGM deposits such as Lundin Mining Corporation's Eagle and Eagle East, plus Rio Tinto's Tamarack deposit. In light of the recent discoveries within the region, Bitterroot is continuing its land acquisition activities in Michigan.

Bitterroot has formed a Technical Advisory Committee consisting of Dr. Tony Naldrett and Mr. Glenn Scott, who will advise management throughout the drilling program. Tony Naldrett is an internationally-recognized authority on the geology, mineralogy and chemistry of magmatic sulphide ore deposits. Glenn Scott is a professional geologist with over 40 years of experience in mining and mineral exploration.
