Michigan Exploration Permits Approved

May 21, 2008

Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (BTT, TSX-V) and its wholly-owned Michigan subsidiary Trans Superior Resources, Inc. (Trans Superior) have been notified that USDA Forest Service is in the process of issuing permits allowing the resumption of Trans Superior's mineral exploration programs in Gogebic County, Michigan.

Trans Superior plans to resume geophysical surveys in early June, followed by core drilling. This work is being funded by a US subsidiary of Cameco Corporation under an option/joint venture arrangement. Several recent meetings held with representatives of Gogebic County and neighbouring Ontonagon County confirmed that mineral exploration enjoys strong local support.
