Underground Bulk Sample And Surface Drilling Resumes At Mineral Creek, BC Gold Project

June 3, 2008

Bitterroot Resources Ltd.'s (BTT, TSX-V) partner, Mineral Creek Ventures Inc. has resumed underground and surface exploration on the Mineral Creek gold property near Port Alberni, B.C. The Mineral Creek property hosts numerous high-grade gold-bearing vein occurrences. The most advanced of these targets is the Lower Linda quartz-carbonate vein, which hosts bonanza-grade gold mineralization (1,165 grams Au/tonne or 34.0 ounces Au/ton over a sample length of 1.60 metres, see BTT news release dated February 6, 2008). The Lower Linda vein is open along strike and down-dip. Mineral Creek Ventures Inc. has received permits to extract a 5,000 tonne bulk sample from the Linda veins. Prior to the onset of winter conditions in late 2007, Mineral Creek had mined approximately 200 tonnes of mineralized rock from the Lower Linda vein. Mining and processing by gravity-based gold recovery methods will commence in June. The Lower Linda vein system presents a unique opportunity for Bitterroot Resources Ltd. and Mineral Creek Ventures Inc. to develop a low-capital cost, low-impact gold mine which has the potential to generate extremely attractive economic returns.

Elsewhere on the Mineral Creek property, mobilization of surface diamond drilling equipment to test the Gap Zone has been initiated. The Gap Zone is part of the Mineral Creek fault system, which hosts a number of gold-mineralized quartz-carbonate veins. The Gap Zone has not been tested by drilling, despite its proximity to the Linda and Mineral Creek zones. In 2008, Bitterroot and Mineral Creek plan to complete over 4,000 metres of core drilling on the Gap Zone and several other gold-mineralized targets. Drilling will also test for extensions of the high-grade Lower Linda vein.

Mr. Michael Becherer, P.Geo is the Qualified Person responsible for the design and implementation of exploration programs on the Mineral Creek project.
