LM Property
Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (51%) and its partner Below Exploration Inc. (49%) are exploring the LM Property for high-grade nickel-copper-platinum-palladium deposits similar to Lundin Mining's Eagle and Eagle East mines in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Twenty-six core holes totaling 7,565 metres were completed between June 2020 and March 2022.
In 10 of the 26 holes, drilling intersected disseminated, semi-massive and massive sulphides on the lower contact of the LM mafic/ultramafic intrusion. A summary of these drill results is presented in the table below. Management is encouraged by the relatively high metal content of this disseminated mineralization. Using a formula developed by the late Dr. Anthony Naldrett, 100% massive sulphides of this metal tenor should contain approximately 6% - 8% nickel, 7% - 9% copper and 2 - 5 ppm platinum+palladium. At Lundin Mining's Eagle Mine and elsewhere in the Mid-Continent Rift region, disseminated sulphides of this type occur around bodies of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization. Bitterroot and Below plan to resume drilling following the completion of additional land acquisition activities.
