LM Property
Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (51%) and its partner Below Exploration Inc. (49%) are exploring the LM Property for high-grade nickel-copper-platinum-palladium deposits similar to Lundin Mining's Eagle and Eagle East mines in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Twenty-six core holes totaling 7,565 metres were completed between June 2020 and March 2022.
In 10 of the 26 holes, drilling intersected disseminated, semi-massive and massive sulphides on or near the lower contact of the LM mafic/ultramafic intrusion. A summary of these drill results is presented in the table below. Management is encouraged by the relatively high metal content of this disseminated mineralization. Using a formula developed by the late Dr. Anthony Naldrett, 100% massive sulphides of this metal tenor should contain approximately 6% - 8% nickel, 7% - 9% copper and 2 - 5 ppm platinum+palladium. At Lundin Mining's Eagle Mine and elsewhere in the Mid-Continent Rift region, disseminated sulphides of this type occur above or around bodies of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization. Bitterroot and Below plan to resume drilling deeper in the LM conduit system following the completion of financing. Future drilling will target the most prospective and untested part of the LM conduit in the 400-700 metres depth range. The recent acquisition, by related parties, of the surface estate over the LM Property mineral rights gives the Company and Below increased operational flexibility and extends the drilling season (news release dated August 11, 2026).
